After being transported up Brisbane River by barge, Marr’s M2480D was installed on a piled platform by a barge mounted 400-tonne crawler crane.
The M2480D’s first major lift was installing the 25mx25m working platform (‘megaframe’) weighing over 100 tonnes.
The bridge’s prefabricated mast legs were approximately 25m long, weighing 40 tonnes.
